EnglishWhat is the Art and Art Education Network (art-edu.com)?
Updated
art-edu.com is the website of the Art and Art Education Network (艺术与艺术教育网), an art and art education portal in China. It functions primarily as the Shanghai test-region site for the Social Art Level Examination Center of the China Institute of Art Science and Technology (中国艺术科技研究所社会艺术水平考级中心), covering fine arts, recitation, and dance grading exams. It is most useful to students and parents preparing for those exams, teachers seeking certification training, and institutions applying for authorization to host exams.
Who runs it and what it covers
The site identifies itself as affiliated with the Social Art Level Examination Center of the China Institute of Art Science and Technology, described as a nationwide cross-provincial social art level examination body approved by China's culture and tourism authorities. Its scope is organized around three Shanghai test regions:
- Fine arts grading (美术考级) — including calligraphy
- Recitation grading (朗诵考级)
- Dance grading (舞蹈考级)
Beyond exams, it also hosts art competitions, teacher training, and exhibitions, so it serves both individual candidates and the institutions and instructors around them.

Practical notes
The site lists separate consultation phone lines for fine arts grading (021-63171337, 021-52308376) and recitation grading (18917189376), plus a grading app and WeChat public account. Announcements show registration cycles, for example a notice that second-half 2026 national fine arts and calligraphy grading registration had begun. The site does not publish pricing on the pages summarized here, so exam or training fees should be confirmed directly through the listed contact channels or your authorized institution.
