What Is the SorR Community Forum and What Can You Find There?

Updated

SorR Community is a fan forum for Streets of Rage Remake (often shortened to SorR or SOR Remake), hosted at sorr.forumotion.net. It is the place to go if you want to discuss the remake, browse or show off custom mods, or read community threads in English or Spanish. You can read most boards without an account, but posting and some member features require registering and logging in.

What the forum covers

The board list is short and clearly split by topic and language:

Board Purpose Activity shown in the forum stats
SorR (English) Discussion of the Streets of Rage Remake project 377 topics, 4,422 posts
SorR (Español) Same subject, in Spanish 32 topics, 369 posts
SoR Maker Custom mods made with SoR Maker 523 topics, 7,385 posts
Off Topic (English) Anything not related to SorR 180 topics, 6,789 posts
Off Topic (Español) Non-SorR chat in Spanish 40 topics, 346 posts

The overall statistics page reports 19,311 messages from 1,649 registered users, so this is a small but long-running community rather than a high-traffic general gaming site.

Finding discussions and mods

If you already know what you want, the search tools are the fastest route:

  • Search — switch between Posts and Topics to control whether you get individual replies or whole threads.
  • Advanced Search — narrow results when a plain search returns too much.
  • View unanswered posts — useful if you want to help someone whose question got no reply.
  • Today's active topics and Today's top 20 posters — a quick way to see what is currently being discussed.

For mods specifically, go straight to SoR Maker. That board is where members "show off your own custom mods," so it is the natural place to browse released work, ask about tools, or post your own project.

Registering and participating

Reading is open to guests, but the forum shows a Register and Log in link, and posting normally requires an account. The visible activity snapshot lists 5 users online (0 registered, 5 guests), which is typical for a niche forum — expect quiet periods and slower replies than on a large platform.

A few practical notes:

  • The forum runs on Forumotion/phpBB, so the usual phpBB conventions apply (board index, topic lists, post counts).
  • There is a Delete the forum cookies link on the index, handy if you get stuck in a login loop.
  • The footer includes standard Forumotion links for free forum support and abuse reporting.

Is it worth joining?

Join if you want to talk about Streets of Rage Remake, share or download community mods, or read older threads that are not collected anywhere else. The English SorR and SoR Maker boards carry most of the activity, so they are the best starting points. If you only need information, browsing as a guest is enough; register when you want to post, reply, or use member-only features.
