What Is torumorimoto.com? Toru Morimoto's Official Photography Site
torumorimoto.com is the official website of Toru Morimoto (森本徹), a Japanese documentary photographer described on the site as award-winning. It functions as an online portfolio and contact point for his photography, organized into four main sections: Documentary Work, Personal Work, About, and Contact. If you want to see his documentary projects, review his personal work, learn his background, or get in touch about photography, this is the site to use.
Who the site belongs to
The site identifies itself as the official site of Toru Morimoto, a Japanese documentary photographer. The description also notes that he is award-winning, which signals professional recognition in documentary photography rather than hobbyist work. The site is presented in English (with his name also given in Japanese as 森本徹), so it is accessible to an international audience as well as Japanese readers.
What you can find on the site
The navigation lists four sections, each serving a distinct purpose:
| Section | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Documentary Work | His documentary photography projects — the core professional portfolio |
| Personal Work | Photography outside his documentary assignments, showing a more personal body of work |
| About | Background information on the photographer |
| Contact | A way to reach him, for example about assignments or inquiries |
This structure is typical of a photographer's official site: the work sections show the images, the About section provides context on the photographer, and Contact turns the portfolio into a working point of contact.
How to use it
- To evaluate his documentary style: start with Documentary Work, then compare it with Personal Work to see the range between assigned and self-directed projects.
- To learn who he is: open About for his background and credentials.
- To reach him: use Contact for professional or general inquiries.
One practical note: the page evidence shows a copyright notice for 2025 and a content-protection message ("Content is protected !!"), which indicates the images are protected and not intended for reuse without permission. If you want to use any photograph, treat the Contact section as the route to ask.
What the site is not
Based on the available information, the site is a portfolio and contact site. There is no indication of pricing, prints for sale, booking systems, or login areas, so do not assume you can purchase work or access a client area through it. Its purpose is to present Toru Morimoto's photography and let visitors get in touch.
