What Is Uncommon Goods and What Can You Find on the Site?

Uncommon Goods is an online gift shop built around unique, unusual gifts created by independent makers. It suits shoppers looking for something less ordinary than a standard big-box gift—personalized presents, quirky home and kitchen items, jewelry, food and drink, and seasonal gift guides. You can browse by who you're buying for, the occasion, product category, or the recipient's interests.

What the site offers

The catalog is organized around gift discovery rather than everyday shopping. Main product areas listed on the site include:

• Personalized gifts
• Jewelry
• Kitchen & bar
• Home decor
• Apparel
• Food & drink
• Gift baskets
• Uncommon Green® (an eco-focused line)

The site's tagline framing—"Where'd you FIND this?!"—signals its positioning: gifts meant to feel discovered rather than mass-market.

How to browse

Uncommon Goods structures navigation in four ways, which is useful when you know the person but not the product:

If you're shopping for a specific date, starting with the occasion filter narrows the catalog faster than browsing categories.

Seasonal and holiday gifting

The site leans heavily into seasonal gift guides. Current highlights include holiday gifts, Advent calendars, stocking stuffers, and personalized gifts, with separate Christmas gift guides for her, him, kids, and family.

Advent calendars are a prominent category, going beyond chocolate. Examples shown on the site include:

• Candy of the World Advent Calendar
• Craft Project Advent Calendar
• Experiment A Day Science Advent Calendar
• 24 Days of Tea Advent Calendar
• 12 Days of Whiskey Cocktail Cubes Advent
• 24 Day Luxe Body Care Advent Calendar
• Holiday Charm Bracelet Advent Calendar
• 24 Days of Cookies Advent Calendar
• Deluxe Loose Leaf Tea Advent Calendar
• Unexpected Licorice Advent Calendar
• Holiday Stroll Interlocking Puzzle Advent

Many of these carry customer star ratings, so you can compare options by reviews before choosing.

Personalization and timing

The site notes that personalized presents are available and can be ordered in time for the holidays if you order soon—so if you need a personalized item for a fixed date, check delivery timing before committing. The homepage also promotes a "Better to Give" donation program; during October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), the site states it doubles donations to Breastcancer.org, donating $2 ($4 for Perks members) when you select that cause at checkout, at no cost to you.

Who it's for

Uncommon Goods fits you if you want a gift that feels distinctive and maker-sourced, and you're willing to browse by recipient or interest rather than search for a specific brand. It's less suited to shoppers who need a precise, standardized product quickly. Start with the recipient or occasion filter, then use ratings and the seasonal guides to shortlist.
