What is VTResources?

Updated

VTResources is a curated directory of VTuber and streaming resources, maintained by Faf and hosted at vtresources.carrd.co. It collects software and apps, guides, free or low-cost assets (PNGs, graphics, music, and similar), practical tips, and commission listings for art, graphics, models, music/audio, and video work. It is a navigation and discovery page rather than a service provider — you use it to find tools, assets, and creators, then deal with those creators or tools directly.

Who runs it and where it lives

The page is run by Faf, who also operates the @VTResources Twitter account. The site itself is a Carrd page, and the project previously existed as a Google Doc. According to the site, that original Doc became inaccessible after an erroneous takedown, which prompted the move to Carrd. A later update notes the Doc came back, but states that any future updates will happen on the Carrd site — so the Carrd page is the authoritative, current version.

What you'll find there

The page organizes content into a few main areas, reachable from the navigation at the top:

  • General Resources — useful software and apps, guides, and helpful tips for VTubers and streamers.
  • Assets — free or low-cost assets such as PNGs, graphics, and music.
  • Stream-Safe Audio — audio intended to be safe for use on stream.
  • Modeling Guides — guides related to model work.
  • Commissions — listings for art, graphics, models, music/audio, and video work.

The site also links out to the VTResources Twitter account, where posts can be retweeted on request.

How to use it

  1. Open vtresources.carrd.co and use the buttons at the top of the page to jump to the category you need.
  2. Browse the relevant section — for example, Assets if you need graphics or music, or Commissions if you're looking to hire someone.
  3. Follow the linked resource or creator directly. VTResources is a directory; it doesn't host or fulfill the assets and commissions itself.

Suggesting, correcting, or removing entries

The site provides a suggestions/feedback document, an alternate link, and a submission form. You can also tag or DM @VTResources on Twitter. The stated purposes for these channels include:

  • Recommending a resource or commission (self-recommendation is allowed).
  • Reporting corrections, broken or incorrect links, or typos.
  • Reporting issues with listed people or items — for example plagiarism, TOS breaches, or scamming/bad practices.
  • Requesting that your own information be edited or removed if you're listed.

What gets accepted or removed

The page lists several editorial rules worth knowing before you submit:

  • If resources or guides are redundant, the item with more coverage and recency is preferred, or items may be combined.
  • Redundant entries from the same creator may be combined; asset/resource creators are encouraged to put everything in one place.
  • Severely out-of-date resources are removed or denied, and inactive commissions are removed periodically.
  • Commission suggestions lacking enough information may be denied — having commission details in a website or Twitter bio/pin helps.
  • Questionable resources or creators may be removed or denied.

Contacting the Twitter account

If you want a post retweeted, mention @VTResources or DM the post link. The site notes that the account does not respond to vague or conversational DMs — send a message with details rather than opening with just "Hi," "Hello," or "I need help." It also warns that Twitter may automatically filter DMs.

When this site is useful to you

VTResources is worth checking if you're a VTuber or streamer looking for tools, guides, or free/low-cost assets in one place, or if you want to find and vet commission options across art, models, music, and video. It's less useful if you need a guaranteed, actively maintained listing for a specific creator — entries can be removed for inactivity or outdated information, so verify details with the creator before committing.
