What keyboard shortcuts does Break Message support?
Updated
Break Message supports two keyboard shortcuts: F toggles full-screen mode, and X ends the break message. You can also end the break message by double-clicking anywhere on the screen. These shortcuts work while the break message is displayed, so you can switch to full-screen for a cleaner look or dismiss the message the moment you're back.
Shortcut reference
| Key / action | What it does |
|---|---|
| F | Toggle full-screen mode on and off |
| X | End the break message |
| Double-click | End the break message |
How to use them
- Create your break message and display it (set the message text, return time, and any colors or background image you want).
- While the message is showing, press F if you want it to fill the screen. Press F again to leave full-screen mode.
- When your break is over, press X or double-click anywhere to end the message and return to your normal screen.
The page states the end action directly: "Double-click or X – end break" and "Press X or double-click to end."
Things to know
- No other shortcuts are listed. The site only documents F and X (plus double-click), so don't expect navigation or editing hotkeys.
- The shortcuts apply to the displayed message, not to the setup form where you type your message and return time.
- Full-screen is a display toggle, not an exit. Pressing F changes how the message looks; it doesn't dismiss it. Use X or double-click for that.
- Return time parsing is separate from shortcuts. The resume time is parsed by your browser, and the site notes that essentially any browser should accept military (24-hour) time in your local time zone, or UTC if you add a "Z" after the time. That behavior is about the time input, not the keyboard controls.
If you only remember one thing: F for full-screen, X (or double-click) to end the break.
