What Kind of Stock Video Footage Is Available on Motion Places?

Motion Places offers royalty-free stock video footage organized into browsable collections, with a strong emphasis on city and destination clips. According to the site, the library includes high-quality 4K clips, and the collections shown on its homepage span major cities, landmarks, and natural scenery. If you need travel, urban, or landscape B-roll for a personal or commercial project, this is the type of content you can expect to find.

Main Footage Categories

The homepage lists collections under a "Royalty-Free Stock Footage" heading, and the visible categories fall into three broad groups.

City and Destination Clips

These make up the most prominent part of the collection. Named city collections include:

• Los Angeles
• Paris
• New York City
• Seattle
• London
• San Francisco
• Las Vegas
• Chicago
• Hong Kong
• A general "City Stock Video" collection

Landmarks and Architecture

Alongside city collections, the site lists specific landmark and structure footage:

• Golden Gate Bridge
• Skyscraper

Nature and Landscape

Natural scenery is also represented:

• Waterfall
• Lake
• Forest

Venice also appears as a collection, which fits the destination theme rather than the nature or landmark groups.

Quality and Format

The site describes its footage as "high quality" and specifically mentions 4K clips, noting that downloading in 4K helps confirm the footage is a good fit for your project. If your workflow requires high-resolution source material, the collection is positioned around that standard.

How the Library Is Organized

Collections are presented as browsable pages rather than a single flat list. The homepage shows pagination controls (Previous, 1 through 6, Next) plus a "View more" link, which indicates the library extends beyond the categories visible on the first page. In practice, that means you can browse by theme and page through additional clips within each collection.

Licensing Note

The site states that clips from the collection can be licensed instantly by purchasing a Motion Places Pro License. The available page information does not specify pricing, payment methods, or whether any content is free, so check the license page directly before planning around a particular budget or usage right.

Quick Reference

If your project calls for cityscapes, recognizable destinations, or natural scenery in 4K, the collections above are the starting point. Browse the themed pages first, then confirm licensing terms before downloading.
