What kinds of events and performers are listed on Ents24?

Updated

Ents24 is a UK entertainment guide covering live music, comedy, theatre and shows, plus days out. Its listings span major touring artists and comedians as well as individual show announcements, and each entry typically shows dates, venues and the number of shows in a run. Use it to discover what's on, track new announcements, and move to ticket purchase; the site describes buying as "quickly and securely online," but the supplied material gives no pricing or login details.

The four main categories

The site organizes browsing around these sections:

Category What it covers Examples from the site
Music Tours and concerts by bands and solo artists Kraftwerk, Bon Jovi, Texas, Orbital, Shed Seven, Robbie Williams, Andre Rieu and His Johann Strauss Orchestra
Comedy Stand-up tours and comedy shows Jimmy Carr, Tim Vine, Romesh Ranganathan, Fern Brady, Ricky Gervais, Nina Conti
Theatre Stage productions and West End-style shows Rowan Live at Gillian Lynne Theatre
Shows / days out Broader entertainment listings beyond the three above Described in the site's own summary of coverage

How listings are presented

Each performer entry pairs a name with a start date and a show count, for example:

  • Jimmy Carr — from Wed 7 Apr 2027, 83 shows
  • Romesh Ranganathan — from Wed 28 Oct, 75 shows
  • Tim Vine — from Thu 1 Apr 2027, 44 shows
  • Kraftwerk — from Tue 22 Jun 2027, 2 shows
  • Bon Jovi — Thu 24 Jun 2027, Hyde Park

This format lets you judge at a glance how extensive a tour is and when it begins. Venue information appears where relevant (Hyde Park for Bon Jovi, Gillian Lynne Theatre for Rowan Live), and some entries carry a presale note, such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's presale for early ticket access.

Trending and latest updates

Two sections help you spot what's new or popular:

  • Trending On Ents24 highlights currently popular acts — the page shows Bill Bailey, The Flaming Lips, Tim Vine, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Justin Currie.
  • Latest Updates is a timestamped feed of new announcements. Recent examples include Tim Vine adding 8 new events, The Flaming Lips adding 2, Flo & Joan adding 6, Malevolence adding 13, and Joe Lycett appearing at The Clapham Grand, London in February 2027.

The site states that about 14,000 new shows are added each month and that it has operated since 1999, which explains why the update feed moves quickly.

What this means if you're deciding whether to use it

Ents24 suits you if you want a single UK-wide guide to check tour dates and new announcements across music, comedy and theatre before buying tickets. It is less useful if you need detailed venue seating information or price comparisons, since the supplied material doesn't cover those. Start with the category that matches your interest, then check the Latest Updates feed if you're watching for a specific artist's newly announced dates.
