What Kinds of Organic Gardening Products Can You Buy on Grow Organic?

Grow Organic (groworganic.com) sells organic seeds, edible plants, soil-building supplies, pest control, and gardening tools, along with bare-root trees available for preorder. It is the online storefront of Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply, which describes itself as helping gardeners grow since 1976. The catalog suits home gardeners who want organic-labeled inputs and practical growing guidance in one place, rather than a single narrow product line.

Seeds and edible plants

The seed and plant side of the catalog covers vegetables, herbs, flowers, and cover crops, plus live edible plants. Specific examples visible on the site include:

• Garlic bulbs sold by weight, such as Music Garlic and Organic Inchelium Red Garlic, with guidance on choosing the right garlic for your garden.
• Seed collections bundled for a purpose, such as the Container Garden Seed Collection (Organic).
• Individual packets such as ‘Italian Scallion’ Heirloom Salad Onion Seeds and Stinging Nettles Seeds (Organic).
• Wildflower mixes such as the North American Perennial Native Wildflower Mix.

If you are choosing garlic or other bulbs, check the variety page for planting timing and climate fit rather than assuming any bulb works in any zone.

Soil-building supplies and fertilizers

This is the category the store leans into most heavily. It includes fertilizers, soil amendments, and compost additives. Examples from the site:

Customer reviews on the site describe using these in specific ways — one reviewer says Bio-Live “supercharges” compost, another reports a visible response in woody growth after topdressing granular silicon. Treat those as individual experiences, not guarantees; match the product to your soil test or stated garden problem.

Pest control and tools

The store lists pest control products alongside tools and accessories. Tool examples include the Dramm Revolver 9 Spray Pattern Nozzle and the Clip N Pick Fruit Picker (head only). Note that some items are sold as components — the fruit picker listing is the head only, so confirm whether you need a handle separately before ordering.

Bare-root trees by preorder

Bare-root fruit trees are offered as a seasonal preorder rather than immediate stock. The site’s current preorder window is for winter 2027, and it advises shoppers to choose trees by three factors:

1. Growing zone — whether the variety survives your winters.
2. Chill hours — whether your climate gets enough cold for the tree to fruit.
3. Space — whether the mature tree fits your site.

It also tells buyers to check each variety’s shipping date and pollination needs, since many fruit trees require a compatible second variety nearby. A “Plan My Orchard” tool is offered to help work through these choices.

How to decide if it fits your needs

• You want organic-labeled seed and soil inputs with growing guidance: the catalog and variety notes are the main draw.
• You are planning an orchard: use the zone, chill-hour, and pollination filters before preordering, and note the winter 2027 timing.
• You need a specific tool or part: check whether the listing is a complete unit or a component, as with the fruit-picker head.

The site displays customer reviews (over 10,000 at the time of the page) and product-level details such as fertilizer analysis, which are the most reliable signals for comparing items. Pricing and shipping terms are shown on individual product pages rather than summarized here.
