What kinds of quiz packs and question formats does Quizmasters.biz offer?

Updated

Quizmasters.biz offers quiz content in several distinct formats: Weekly Quiz Packs, Specialist Quiz Packs, Video Quiz Packs, Multiple Choice Questions, Audio Quizzes, Picture Quizzes, a Question Database, Excel Quizzes, and Trivia Genius / Lists Etc. If you are running a pub quiz, party, classroom activity, or fundraiser, the right choice depends on whether you need a ready-made recurring pack, a themed set, or a bank of questions you can assemble yourself.

Quiz packs: weekly vs. specialist

The site separates its pack offerings into two main categories:

  • Weekly Quiz Packs — positioned as a recurring, regularly updated option. This suits hosts who run quizzes on a schedule and want fresh material each time rather than building a quiz from scratch.
  • Specialist Quiz Packs — themed or niche sets. These are the better fit when your event centres on a particular subject or audience rather than a general-knowledge crowd.

The distinction matters for planning: weekly packs solve the frequency problem, while specialist packs solve the theme problem. If you host every week, weekly packs are the natural base; if you host occasionally around a specific topic, specialist packs are more relevant.

Multimedia quiz formats

Beyond standard question sheets, the site lists several formats that change how questions are presented and answered:

Format What it suggests for your event
Video Quiz Packs Questions built around video clips — useful for a screen-based or projected quiz
Audio Quizzes Music- or sound-based rounds, suited to "name the tune" style segments
Picture Quizzes Visual rounds where players identify images
Multiple Choice Questions A fixed-answer format that is easier to mark and works well for mixed-ability audiences

These formats are not just cosmetic. A picture or audio round changes the equipment you need (screen, speakers) and the pace of the event, so pick based on your venue rather than novelty alone.

Question sources you can build from

If you prefer to assemble your own quiz rather than use a pre-made pack, the site provides:

  • Question Database — a pool of questions to draw from.
  • Excel Quizzes — quiz material delivered in spreadsheet form, which is convenient if you want to sort, filter, or edit questions before use.
  • Trivia Genius / Lists Etc — additional trivia and list-based content, useful for filler rounds or tie-breakers.

The Excel format in particular is worth noting: it gives you editing control that a fixed PDF-style pack does not.

Interactive apps and buzzer systems

The site also lists Quiz Apps — including Play Your Cards Right, Picture Wizard, Raffle Ticket Generator, Around The World, Picto Links, Scoreboard, Quiz Battle, Music Mania, and Chocolate Box — alongside Buzzer Systems such as Quiz Battle, Music Mania, and Quiz Fire. These are relevant if you want a more game-show-style setup rather than pen-and-paper answering.

How to choose

  • Hosting regularly, general knowledge: Weekly Quiz Packs.
  • Hosting a themed night: Specialist Quiz Packs.
  • Want visual or musical rounds: Video, Picture, or Audio Quizzes.
  • Need to edit or filter questions: Excel Quizzes or the Question Database.
  • Want an interactive, buzzer-based format: the Quiz Apps and Buzzer Systems section.

The site also lists About Us, Contact Us, Chatoom & Quiz Bot, and Make A Donation pages, which are useful if you need to ask about licensing, custom content, or support before committing to a format.
