What Music Genres and Formats Does Pinewood Records Sell?

Updated

Pinewood Records (pinewoodrecords.com.au) sells CDs, DVDs, cassettes, vinyl LPs, vinyl singles, and books across four main music categories: Country, 50's R'n'R/Rockabilly, Pop/Folk/Contemporary, and Imports. If your interest falls in one of those genres and you're shopping for physical media rather than downloads, this site is aimed at you.

Genres available

The site organises its catalogue into these sections:

  • Country
  • 50's R'n'R/Rockabilly
  • Pop/Folk/Contemporary
  • Imports

These categories appear as the main navigation on the homepage, so you can go straight to the genre you want rather than searching a single mixed list.

Formats available

Pinewood Records stocks physical formats only, based on what the site lists:

Format Listed on site
CDs Yes
DVDs Yes
Cassettes Yes
Vinyl LPs Yes
Vinyl singles Yes
Books Yes

There is no indication of digital downloads or streaming, so plan on ordering tangible items.

How to browse the catalogue

  1. Open pinewoodrecords.com.au.
  2. Use the top-level menu to pick a genre (Country, 50's R'n'R/Rockabilly, Pop/Folk/Contemporary, or Imports).
  3. Browse the Albums section to see individual titles.
  4. Check the format of each item — the site's inventory spans CD, DVD, cassette, vinyl LP, vinyl single, and book, so the same title may not exist in every format.

Expected result: you land on a genre or album listing that shows what's in stock, letting you confirm both the genre and the format before ordering.

Imports

"Imports" is its own top-level category, which means titles sourced from outside Australia are grouped together rather than scattered across the genre sections. If you're specifically after imported pressings or releases, start there instead of browsing by genre.

Also on the site

Beyond the music catalogue, Pinewood Records lists a Books section and a Contact Us page. The site also references Pinewood Publications and authors Ian B. MacLeod and James McClelland, OAM, so the book side of the business is tied to its own publishing arm.

Quick fit check

  • Want Country, rockabilly/50s rock'n'roll, pop/folk/contemporary, or imports? Covered.
  • Want CD, DVD, cassette, vinyl LP, vinyl single, or book? Covered.
  • Want digital downloads or streaming? Not offered based on the site's listings.
  • Want imported titles specifically? Use the Imports section.

If your genre and format both appear above, head to the matching section of the site and browse the Albums listings.
