What News and Match Updates You Can Find on the Bedford Blues RFC Site

Updated

The Bedford Blues RFC site (bedfordrugby.co.uk) publishes club news, match reports, team announcements and event notices on its homepage news feed. It covers both the men's Blues and the Blues Women, and it is the place to check for squad news before a fixture, results after a match, and club-wide announcements such as the Christmas schedule and the fireworks display. The site is a news and information hub rather than a live scoreboard, so expect written updates rather than real-time match data.

Match reports and results

The news feed carries post-match write-ups for both teams. Homepage examples include:

  • Blues Women: "REPORT | Blues Women top of the shop" and "SUNDAY | Blues Women back on home soil"
  • Men's Blues: "REPORT | Maximum points haul at Nottingham"

These reports summarise the outcome and key moments after the match. They are published as news items, so the most recent results appear at the top of the feed.

Team news and squad announcements

Before fixtures, the site publishes squad selections. A homepage example is "TEAM NEWS | Squad named for Nottingham battle." This is the place to confirm who is available for an upcoming match, including any changes to the line-up.

Previews, fixtures and newsletter updates

The site promotes a newsletter sign-up ("Subscribe to the Blues Newsletter") that promises "the latest news, signings and match previews." If you want previews and signing announcements delivered rather than checking the site, the mailing list is the intended route. The homepage itself does not display a full fixture list in the captured content, so for a complete schedule you would need to browse beyond the news feed.

Club announcements and events

Beyond match coverage, the news feed includes club-wide notices:

  • Fireworks Display and Funfair 2026 — an announced club event
  • Christmas Schedule — festive opening or fixture arrangements
  • Ladies Day 2026 Raffle Prizes — a call for unclaimed prizes

These items matter if you are planning to attend an event or need to claim a prize.

What the site is not

The homepage content does not show live scores, a ticketing checkout, or pricing information. "Secure your spot at GR" and "Book Your Event Today" appear as promotional headings, but no prices or booking platforms are listed in the available material. Treat the site as a source of written news and announcements; for transactions or live match data, check the linked pages or contact the club directly.

Practical tip

If you follow a specific team, scan the news feed for the prefixes used in headlines — REPORT, TEAM NEWS, and SUNDAY — to sort match coverage from squad updates and fixture-day notices quickly.
