EnglishWhat Product Categories and Special Offers Are Available on Middy Fishing Tackle?
Updated
Middy Fishing Tackle sells coarse angling gear across 14 shop categories, from poles and rods to clothing and luggage, and runs a dedicated bundle deals and special offers section. The site is aimed at UK anglers buying direct from an independent British manufacturer. Prices shown on the homepage range from £2.00 for small accessories to £109.99 for a two-piece suit, so it covers both low-cost pickups and larger purchases.
Main shop categories
The homepage lists these categories in its shop navigation:
- Bundle deals & special offers
- Poles
- Pole rollers
- Fishing rods
- Top kits & spares
- Trolleys
- Fishing reels, line & accessories
- Keepnets & landing nets
- Landing net handles
- Fishing brollies
- Luggage
- Clothing
This is a coarse-fishing-focused range rather than general sea or fly tackle, which matches Middy's positioning as a manufacturer for "anglers of all disciplines" within that space.
Special offers and bundle deals
The "Bundle Deals & Special Offers" category sits first in the shop list, and the homepage features one example directly:
| Product | Price |
|---|---|
| Middy Bombproof 9ft Feeder Rod | £34.99 |
| Middy Bombproof 9ft Feeder Rod & Reactor 3000 Reel Combo | £59.99 |
The combo is listed under Special Offers, while the rod alone appears under Fishing Rods. If you want the rod and reel together, the combo is the listing to look for.
Trending products and price examples
The homepage's "Trending products" section gives a quick read on what the brand is pushing and what things cost:
- Middy Slotters – £2.00 (Fishing Reels & Accessories)
- Middy Thermo 2 Pc Suit – £109.99 (Clothing; described as waterproof and windproof)
- Phantom Topkits – £55.00–£79.99 (Fishing Rods, Top Kits & Spares)
- Middy Bombproof 9ft Feeder Rod – £34.99 (Fishing Rods)
- Bombproof 9ft Feeder Rod & Reactor 3000 Reel Combo – £59.99 (Special Offers)
- Bombproof Beast-Reach Telescopic Landing Net Handle 3m 3pc – £23.99 (Landing Net Handles)
Note that Phantom Topkits are sold as a price range, so the exact cost depends on which variant you pick.
Why buy direct from Middy
The site gives three reasons, which are worth weighing against buying through a third-party retailer:
- Independent British manufacturing – Middy states it remains fully independent, unlike many tackle brands, and uses that to focus on on-the-bank performance.
- Affordable pricing – the direct manufacturing approach is presented as the reason for professional-grade gear at lower prices.
- Personal service – the claim is that when you contact Middy you speak to fellow anglers.
The site also mentions free UK delivery, which matters if you are ordering a bulky item such as a pole, trolley or brolly.
Practical notes before you buy
- Check the Bundle Deals & Special Offers category first if you are building a setup from scratch — the rod-and-reel combo shows the kind of saving available.
- For rods, decide whether you need the bare rod or a matched combo; both are listed separately.
- Top kits and spares sit in their own category, so replacement sections are ordered there rather than under rods.
- The site links out to Woodland Lakes Fishery for night fishing bookings, which is a venue partnership rather than a Middy product — don't confuse the two when browsing.
If you already know which discipline you fish, the category list above is enough to navigate straight to the right section; if you are kitting out from nothing, start with the bundle deals and work back through rods, reels and luggage.
