What to Know Before You Buy
Chico Theater Company describes itself as a true community theater: each production is staged by local directors, actors, designers, musicians, and volunteers. That context matters if you're deciding between this and a touring production — expect a community-scale show rather than a large regional theater run.
The site also publishes a refund and exchange policy, which is worth reading before checkout:
- Refund requests must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled performance. Credit is issued to your patron account for the full purchase cost, except the processing fee on online purchases.
- Check or credit card refunds carry a 10% cancellation fee, and the online processing fee is non-refundable.
- Exchanges must also be requested 24 hours in advance. Tickets can only be exchanged for another performance of the same show, subject to availability.
In practice, that means buying for a specific date is close to final once you're inside the 24-hour window, and switching nights only works within the Cabaret run.
Checking for Updates
The homepage lists Cabaret as the featured production with its run dates and show times. Because the schedule is tied to a specific run ending October 25th, confirm the current show on the site before planning a trip — the featured production will change after that date. The theater also points visitors to its social media accounts for happenings and promo deals, which is the place to watch for discounts or schedule changes.
