What songs and content are included in YARG?

Updated

YARG ships with an official setlist of more than 100 licensed songs, plus additional full albums you can download through the YARC Launcher. The base game is free and open-source, so all of this included content comes at no cost. If you want the built-in track list plus optional album downloads, this is what you get.

The official setlist

The core song library in YARG contains over 100 licensed tracks. According to the YARG site, the setlist draws from recognizable artists, including:

  • Nine Inch Nails
  • Good Kid
  • Last Dinosaurs
  • King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
  • Glass Beach

It also features songs from independent creators, such as:

  • Jamie Paige
  • raphaelgoulart
  • NyxTheShield
  • bitbreaker
  • JubyPhonic

This mix means you get both well-known names and independent artists in the same default library, without needing to import anything yourself.

Full albums via the YARC Launcher

Beyond the built-in setlist, YARG offers full albums as downloads through the YARC Launcher. The site names several examples:

Album Artist
Summertide Alohaii
Wanderkid JW Francis
Abyss of Time James Paddock
FX4 Jake "virt" Kaufman

These are separate from the official setlist and are downloaded through the launcher rather than being pre-installed.

How to get the content

  1. Download the game — YARG is distributed through the YARC Launcher, which is the entry point for both the game and the album downloads.
  2. Play the official setlist — the 100+ licensed songs are part of the base game.
  3. Download additional albums — open the YARC Launcher and grab any of the full albums listed above (and others as they're added).

The expected result: you start with a large built-in library and can expand it with complete albums without paying, since YARG states there will never be any payment or in-app transaction.

What to keep in mind

  • No piracy — YARG states it stands against all forms of piracy and does not use ripped or pirated assets or music. The importable content is intended for creators to share their work and for educational purposes.
  • Content is expandable — the official setlist and album downloads are the included content, but YARG is built to be customizable, so the library isn't limited to what ships by default.
  • More instruments and features are coming — the site notes that additional instruments and online features (like online multiplayer and competitive leaderboards) are planned for future updates, so the content ecosystem is still growing.

If your goal is simply to know what you can play right after installing, the answer is the 100+ song official setlist plus the album downloads available in the YARC Launcher.
