What Sports and School Coverage Does News Banner Provide?

News Banner covers sports and schools through separate, school-specific sections rather than one combined feed. Its sports coverage is organized around Bluffton, Norwell, and Southern Wells, plus area, state, and national sports, while school news is split the same way across Bluffton, Norwell, and Southern Wells. If you follow a particular Wells County school, you can go straight to that school's section instead of scanning everything.

Sports coverage

The sports section is divided into these categories:

• Bluffton
• Norwell
• Southern Wells
• Area / State
• National

Two recurring features sit alongside the team coverage:

• Sports calendar — a schedule of upcoming athletic events.
• Athlete of the Week — a regular recognition feature for local athletes.

Recent headlines show the section covering championships and game results for local teams, including a Bluffton ACAC football title, a Norwell win over a rival, and other area results.

School news coverage

School news follows the same three-school structure:

• Bluffton
• Norwell
• Southern Wells

This means coverage is tied to the specific school communities in the Wells County area rather than presented as a single general education feed.

How to use the sections

If you want coverage of one team or school, start with that school's section under Sports or School News. If you want broader results — regional, statewide, or national — use the Area / State and National categories instead. The sports calendar is the place to check for upcoming events, and Athlete of the Week highlights individual athletes on a recurring basis.

One practical note: the site's navigation lists these categories directly, so the school names themselves act as the entry points. There is no indication in the available material of a paywall or login requirement specific to sports or school content, but the site does include a Log In option, so access terms for any individual item are best confirmed on the page itself.
