What Study Locations and Online Options Does UniSQ Offer?

Updated

UniSQ offers four campus locations — Toowoomba, Springfield, Ipswich and Brisbane — plus an online study mode that lets you learn from anywhere. The right choice depends mainly on where you live, how far you're willing to commute, and whether you need the flexibility of studying remotely. Toowoomba suits those wanting a full campus experience in a large inland city, Springfield and Ipswich are options for people near Brisbane who prefer a smaller environment, Brisbane is a business and industry hub, and online suits students who need to fit study around work or location.

Toowoomba

Toowoomba is described as a thriving learning community located in Australia's largest inland city. If you want a campus-based experience with a strong local student community and you live in or can move to the Darling Downs region, this is the most complete campus option.

Springfield and Ipswich

Both are described as being about 30 minutes from Brisbane, but with different characters: Springfield as a close-knit study environment and Ipswich as a vibrant learning atmosphere. These suit students who want face-to-face study and live in the western Brisbane corridor, without commuting into the city.

Brisbane

UniSQ Brisbane is positioned as an engagement hub for business, industry and government collaboration rather than a traditional campus. Choose it if proximity to industry and a city location matter more to you than a self-contained campus.

Online

Online study is presented as a first-class education with the ultimate flexibility — "learn your way, wherever you are." It fits students who need to keep working, live far from any campus, or simply prefer to study remotely.

How to decide

  1. Check your commute. If you live within about 30 minutes of Springfield or Ipswich, those campuses give you in-person study without a long trip. If you're in Toowoomba or the surrounding region, the Toowoomba campus is the natural fit.
  2. Decide whether you need campus presence. If you value face-to-face contact and a study community, choose a campus. If you need to study around other commitments, online is the flexible route.
  3. Consider industry access. If business and government connections are a priority, UniSQ Brisbane is the location framed around that.
  4. Confirm your program is offered in your chosen mode. Not every degree is available at every location or online, so check the specific degree page before applying.
