EnglishWhat the NAME Region N-1 Website Covers and Who It Serves
Updated
NAME Region N-1 is the regional website of NAME, an educational, non-profit organization for miniature collectors and builders. It serves members in Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas, Nevada, and El Paso, Texas. If you live in or near one of those areas and want to connect with local miniature hobbyists, this site is the regional hub for clubs, events, photos, and newsletters.
Areas Covered by Region N-1
The site lists its coverage as:
- Southern California
- Arizona
- New Mexico
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- El Paso, Texas
If your location falls outside this list, you are likely in a different NAME region. The site's contact page points visitors to NAME's main contact information, where you can ask about the region that applies to you.
What You Can Find on the Site
The homepage is organized around a few practical entry points for members and prospective members:
| Section | What it offers |
|---|---|
| Scheduled Events | The latest list of upcoming regional events |
| Photo Gallery | Photos from the region's activities |
| Newsletter | The latest issues of the regional newsletter |
| Contact Information | A link to NAME's contact page (click "N-1" there) |
| Website Administrator email | A way to contribute member or club content |
The site also links to NAME's Create Miniatures site, which lists activities available to members.
The Newest Club: New Mini Bunch ABQ
The homepage welcomes "N-1's newest club, NEW MINI BUNCH ABQ," based in Albuquerque. If you are in the Albuquerque area, this is the most recently announced local club to look into. The site does not list a separate contact for the club, so the practical route is to check the Scheduled Events page or reach out through the regional contact information.
How to Connect with Local Hobbyists
- Check the Scheduled Events page to see what is coming up in your part of the region.
- Read the latest newsletter issues to learn what clubs and members have been doing.
- Use the contact information link on the homepage, then click "N-1" on NAME's contact page to reach the region.
- Email the Website Administrator if you are a member or club with content to contribute; the site says contributions are always welcome.
The organization's stated goal is to link people with a shared love of miniatures, summed up on the site as: "Only through sharing can we really enjoy our treasures!" Membership is open to anyone who wants to join.
A Note on What the Site Does Not Provide
The homepage does not list membership dues, a full club directory, or a meeting calendar beyond the Scheduled Events link. For those details, use the contact information route above rather than assuming the site covers them.
