What upcoming guests and product news are featured on Bob Tanem in the Garden?

Updated

The site currently highlights two time-sensitive items: an upcoming guest, garden writer/photographer/landscape master Saxon Holt on Oct 18th, and the return of VF-11 Plant Food to production, with a link to its Shopify store at shopify.vf11ind.com. You can also email questions or comments to [email protected] during the week — just put "Garden" in the subject line.

Upcoming guest: Saxon Holt (Oct 18th)

The homepage lists Saxon Holt as an upcoming guest, described as a garden writer, photographer, and landscape master. If you want to hear that conversation, the show airs live on Sunday mornings, 9–10am Pacific time, on KSFO 810am, hosted by Edie Tanem. The site also notes you can listen live on Sundays or catch the show "whenever/wherever you get your podcasts."

Because the show is only one hour, the site advises getting your calls in early. The call-in number is 415-808-5600, and it's active during the show only.

Product news: VF-11 Plant Food back in production

The site announces that VF-11 Plant Food is back in production and points visitors to its Shopify page at https://shopify.vf11ind.com/ for more information. That's the extent of the product update given — no pricing or ordering details for VF-11 appear on the page itself, so the Shopify link is the place to check.

Other items mentioned on the site

  • Deer Resistant Planting Guide — a booklet written by Bob Tanem, available for ordering directly through the site. To request it, mail a check for $5.45 to Edie Tanem, 130 N. San Pedro Rd, San Rafael, CA 94903. For wholesale pricing, email [email protected].
  • Bob Tanem's gardening books — several titles are available through Amazon and some local nurseries: Annuals for Northern California, Perennials for Northern California, Trees and Shrubs for Northern California, Gardening Month by Month in Northern California, plus the Deer Resistant Planting booklet. To find them on Amazon, search for Bob Tanem.

How to follow these updates

The site is maintained for friends, fans, and listeners of the radio show based in the San Francisco Bay Area. For questions, comments, or suggestions, email Edie Tanem at [email protected] — and remember to put "Garden" in the subject line so it gets sorted correctly.
