Where Are JNU's Latest Notices, Events and Tenders Published?

Updated

JNU publishes its latest notices, events and tenders on the official homepage at jnu.ac.in, through three separate entry points: the Admission and Notices items in the main menu, the Current Events section on the homepage, and the Latest Tenders link under the Tenders menu. The homepage is the fastest place to see what is new, while the menu links take you to the fuller listings.

Notices: Admission Notices and General Notices

The homepage carries a running list of notice headlines directly below the main navigation. Recent examples visible on the page include:

  • Admission Notice regarding extension of online admission to PhD programmes through NET/JRF/GATE for AY 2026-27
  • Revised Admission schedule for PhD programmes for AY 2026-27
  • Admission schedule for PhD programmes for AY 2026-27
  • Admission Notice inviting applications for PhD programmes from foreign national candidates under the In-absentia category for AY 2026-27 (last date noted as 09.10.2026)

Each headline is a link, and a "Read more about admission" link sits at the end of the list for the full admission section. The main menu also has a dedicated Notices entry, which is where you should go when you want the complete list rather than the handful featured on the homepage.

How to check for a new notice: open the homepage, scan the headline list under the navigation for the most recent dates and titles, then click through to the notice page. If you are tracking admissions specifically, the Admissions menu expands to e-Prospectuses for UG and COP, PG and ADOP, DOP, and PhD (2026-27, plus a 2025-26 Phase-II winter semester prospectus), along with the Admission Policy and International Students pages.

Current Events: Seminars, Lectures and Conferences

The Current Events block on the homepage lists dated academic events hosted by JNU's schools and centres. Entries on the page include:

Date Event
21 Oct International Seminar organised by CES, SIS
26–27 Oct Young Scholars' Seminar organised by CIPOD, SIS
29–30 Oct Young Scholars' Conference organised by CIPS, SIS
30 Oct Lecture by Dr. Swaraj Basu, organised by SCIS
02–04 Nov International Conference on "Youth Narratives and Cultural Practices Across the Globe in the 20th and 21st Century," organised by CSPILAS, SLL&CS
01–03 Mar International Conference on "Integrating Climate-Related Financ…," organised by CESP

The pattern is consistent: each entry pairs a date or date range with the organising centre and the event type. To attend or find the venue and time, follow the event link — the homepage listing gives the what and when, not the room-level detail.

Tenders: The Latest Tenders Entry

Procurement and contract notices live under the Tenders menu item, which opens to Latest Tenders. This is the correct route for suppliers and contractors; tender notices are not mixed into the general notice list on the homepage. If you check the site periodically for business opportunities, bookmark the Latest Tenders page rather than the homepage, since tender postings may not surface in the homepage headline feed.

Other Sections Worth Knowing

  • Academic Calendar (under Academics) for term dates and semester schedules.
  • Directory and Contact Us in the footer for reaching specific offices.
  • Emergency Services and List of Holidays in the footer for practical reference.
  • Career / Placement Cell → Latest Advertisements for recruitment and placement notices, which are separate from tenders.
  • Intranet is marked "For Internal Use Only," so external visitors should not expect access.

A Practical Routine

If your goal is to stay current, check in this order: the homepage headline list for anything urgent, Notices for the full archive, Current Events for the academic programme, and Latest Tenders if you are watching procurement. The homepage is a summary layer; the menu pages are the authoritative listings. Note that the homepage does not state how often each section is updated, so for time-sensitive matters such as admission deadlines, confirm against the linked notice itself rather than the headline alone.
