Where Did LDAMC Move? How to Reach the New LDA Maryland Website

Updated

LDAMC (the Learning Disabilities Association of Montgomery County) no longer operates as a standalone site at ldamc.org. It has transitioned into the Learning Disabilities Association of Maryland (LDA Maryland / LDAMD), and ldamc.org now serves as a redirect page pointing visitors to the new organization. If you land on ldamc.org, you'll be redirected automatically within about 5 seconds, or you can click through immediately using the on-page links.

What happened to LDAMC

According to the notice on ldamc.org, the site states plainly: "LDAMC Has Transitioned to LDA Maryland" and "LDA Montgomery County is now part of LDA Maryland." The Montgomery County chapter is now operating through the statewide Learning Disabilities Association of Maryland rather than as its own separate entity.

This means the old Montgomery County–specific site is no longer the active home for the organization's information and services.

How to get to the new site

You have three ways to reach LDA Maryland from the old ldamc.org page:

  1. Wait for the automatic redirect. The page displays a countdown message — "Redirecting you to our new home in 5 seconds..." — and then sends you to the new site on its own.
  2. Use the "Continue Now" link. If you don't want to wait, this link takes you to the new site immediately.
  3. Use the "Click/Tap to visit LDA MD" link. This is a direct link to the LDA Maryland site.

Any of these will get you to the same destination.

What else is on the old page

Beyond the redirect, the ldamc.org page also offers a couple of reference documents:

  • Certificate for Montgomery County — viewable via a "Click/Tap to view Certificate for Montgomery County" link.
  • Transition Documentation — accessible through a "Click/Tap to view the Transition Documentation" link.

These are useful if you need formal confirmation of the organizational change, for example when updating records, verifying a nonprofit's status, or documenting a referral.

If you bookmarked or linked to ldamc.org

If you previously saved ldamc.org or linked to it from another site, update those references to point to LDA Maryland. The old address still works as a redirect for now, but the organization's active content, programs, and contact information live at the new LDA Maryland home.
