Where to Find a Slicer Profile for Your Printer on the Polymaker Wiki
Updated
The Polymaker Wiki points you to a Filament Preset Downloader as the fastest way to get a slicer profile for your printer. If your exact combination isn't there, the Wiki also links to a page of current and legacy slicer profiles, and offers two fallbacks: asking other users on Polymaker's Discord, or submitting a profile request. Use the downloader first; fall back to Discord or a request only when your setup isn't covered.
Start with the Filament Preset Downloader
The Wiki describes this as its "brand new Filament Preset Downloader" and presents it as the first thing to try when you need a profile for your printer.
- Input: your printer and filament/material details, as prompted by the downloader.
- Action: run the downloader to generate or retrieve a preset.
- Expected result: a slicer profile you can import into your slicing software.
If the downloader returns a result for your setup, that's your answer — you don't need to search further.
Browse current and legacy profiles
If the downloader doesn't cover you, the Wiki links to a page collecting all current profiles and legacy profiles Polymaker has made for slicers.
Use this page when:
- Your printer is older and only a legacy profile exists.
- You want to compare a preset against what Polymaker has officially published.
- You're checking whether a profile was ever released for your slicer at all.
Why your exact combination may be missing
Polymaker states directly that it is "very difficult to have a full profile list for all material types, on every printer, with each slicing software." The company says it is working to improve the list, but gaps are expected rather than exceptional.
This matters for how you interpret an empty result: a missing profile usually reflects the size of the matrix (material × printer × slicer), not a problem with your search.
If no profile exists for your setup
Two options are given on the Wiki:
- Check the Polymaker Discord. The Wiki notes it has thousands of members who "may have already made the profile you need" — a practical route when an official preset doesn't exist.
- Request a Profile. The Wiki provides a profile request option for cases the existing list doesn't cover.
Quick decision guide
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| You want the fastest path to a preset | Use the Filament Preset Downloader |
| You need a legacy profile or want to browse everything published | Check the current and legacy profiles page |
| Your printer/material/slicer combo isn't listed | Ask on the Polymaker Discord |
| You've checked both and still have nothing | Submit a profile request |

If you're setting up a profile and want the underlying material data (for example, to sanity-check temperatures), the Technical Data Sheets are the companion reference.
If something goes wrong with a Polymaker product
The Wiki's stated process is to contact [email protected] first, including:
- Your order information
- Full details of the problem
- A photo of the batch number (on the spool) or serial number (under the dryer dock)
Polymaker says it stands behind its products and will either troubleshoot or replace.
