Where to Find AA Events and Flyers in the Ames Area

Updated

The Ames Area Intergroup website (amesaa.org) points members to a dedicated Events/Flyers page for area events and downloadable flyers you can distribute in your home group. From the homepage, the "For area events, and to download flyers for distribution in your homegroup, please visit our Events/Flyers page" link is the direct entry point. If you would rather ask a person, call the Central Office line at 515-232-8642 to talk to an Ames area AA member day or night.

What the Events/Flyers page is for

The site describes this page as the place to:

  • Find area events (sober events and similar gatherings in the Ames area).
  • Download flyers for distribution in your home group.

The homepage also has a separate "To find a sober event in the area, CLICK HERE" link, which serves the same purpose of locating local sober activities.

How to get and share a flyer

  1. Open the Events/Flyers page from the link on the amesaa.org homepage.
  2. Download the flyer you want to share.
  3. Bring it to your home group and distribute it to members.

The site frames flyers specifically as material "for distribution in your homegroup," so the intended workflow is download → print/share → hand out at your group.
