Where to Find Architecture Helper's City Architecture Guides
Updated
Architecture Helper's city architecture guides live under the City Guides section of the site, reachable from the main navigation. Each guide collects notable buildings, architectural styles, and design history for a given city, and shows how many buildings have been analyzed there. You can browse the full list from the City Guides index or jump straight to a city you care about.
What a City Guide Contains
A city guide is organized around the buildings people have analyzed in that city, not a generic travel write-up. For each city you'll typically see:
- A count of analyzed buildings — for example, Savannah shows 72 buildings analyzed, Sydney 44, and Philadelphia 39.
- The dominant styles found there — Savannah and Sydney both list Beaux-Arts and Victorian, while Philadelphia adds Neoclassical.
- A style-by-style breakdown — so you can see which design language shows up most often in that place.
This makes the guides useful if you're researching a city's architecture, comparing regional styles, or looking for reference buildings before you analyze or restyle something yourself.

How to Reach the Guides
- Open the site's main navigation.
- Select City Guides.
- Browse the index, or pick a city to see its buildings, styles, and design history.
If you want to explore by style instead of by place, the same navigation includes Styles A–Z (49 architecture styles) and a Map view of buildings near you. The Building Library holds analyzed buildings, and Community Creations shows designs other users have generated.
When City Guides Are the Right Entry Point
Choose the city guides when your question is geographic — "what styles define Savannah," "which buildings in Sydney are worth studying," or "how does Philadelphia's architecture compare to Boston's." If instead you want to understand one specific building, upload a photo or address to Analyze a Building for a breakdown of its styles, history, and design details. If you want to create something new, Generate a design or Restyle my space are the relevant tools; the site notes your first analysis and first restyle are free and don't require an account, while unlimited analyses, designs, and restyles sit behind the paid Pricing option.
