Where to Find ESUG Conference Slides, Videos, and Project Showcases

Updated

ESUG conference materials are published across three main channels: slides on Slideshare and in the ESUG Archive, videos on YouTube, and project showcases through the "Show us your Project" sessions and the Innovation Technology Awards. These resources are listed per conference year on esug.org, so you can go directly to the year you need rather than searching across the whole site.

Slides: Slideshare and the ESUG Archive

For recent conferences, ESUG points to two places for slide decks:

  • Slideshare — presentation slides from the main conference and related tracks.
  • ESUG Archive — a parallel copy of the same material.

Both are referenced for ESUG 2024, 2025, and 2026, so if one source is incomplete, the other is worth checking. The site does not describe a single unified search interface for the archive, so expect to browse by conference year.

Videos: YouTube

Conference videos are published on YouTube, linked from each conference's page. This applies to the main conference track. The site lists video links for ESUG 2024, 2025, and 2026.

What Each Conference Page Typically Contains

Based on the conference listings on esug.org, a given year's page may include:

Resource What it covers
Main Conference program Main track talks and sessions
IWST Program International Workshop on Smalltalk Technologies
Innovation Technology Awards Submissions and winners (e.g., 20th edition at ESUG 2025)
Camp Smalltalk Community coding/working sessions
"Show us your Project" Project showcase sessions
Slides Slideshare + ESUG Archive
Videos YouTube

Not every item appears for every year. For example, the Innovation Technology Awards and Camp Smalltalk are listed for ESUG 2024, while the "Show us your Project" showcase is listed for ESUG 2025 and 2026.

How to Actually Get the Material

  1. Go to esug.org and open the Conferences section.
  2. Select the year you want (2026, 2025, 2024, or Past Conferences).
  3. On that page, follow the Slides on Slideshare / ESUG Archive link for presentations, or the Videos on Youtube link for recordings.
  4. For project content, look for "Show us your Project" (2025, 2026) or the Innovation Technology Awards section (2024, 2025).

Practical Notes

  • Slides and videos are hosted externally (Slideshare, YouTube), so availability depends on those platforms.
  • The ESUG Archive serves as a backup location for slides when Slideshare links are the primary reference.
  • If you only need one conference, the year page is the fastest route; there is no described cross-year index for slides or videos specifically.

For upcoming events, ESUG 2027 is announced for Brussels, Belgium — materials for that edition would appear after the conference takes place.
