Where to Find GFLUG's Upcoming Events and Public Displays

Updated

GFLUG (Greater Florida LEGO Users Group) lists its upcoming shows and public displays on the Upcoming Events Calendar linked from the club's homepage at gflug.org. The site's homepage banner reads "Come SEE & meet US AT one of OUR NEXT SHOWs!" and points visitors to that calendar. If you want to see past appearances instead, the site also has a Past Events & Outreach page.

What the Site Offers

The GFLUG site organizes event information into two separate pages:

Page What it covers
Upcoming Events Calendar Displays and events the club plans to attend next
Past Events & Outreach Previous shows and community outreach

Both are listed in the site's main navigation alongside Home, About GFLUG, Standards, Contact Us, and Donation Page.

Who GFLUG Is

GFLUG is the Greater Florida LEGO Users Group, a LUG (LEGO User Group) established in 2000. It describes itself as an adult group of LEGO hobbyists who meet, socialize, and build LEGO displays for public events. The site notes that LUGs generally bring adult hobbyists together for collaborative builds, public displays, workshops, or simply talking about LEGO-related hobbies.

Checking Events and Getting in Touch

  • To find a show: open the Upcoming Events Calendar from the homepage to see the club's schedule of upcoming displays and events.
  • To ask about an event or invite the club: the site directs inquiries to [email protected] or a contact form. It specifically invites messages about joining the group, questions about membership, and requests to appear at an event for a company.
  • To support the club: GFLUG, Inc. is described as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Florida organization, and the site notes that donations may be tax exempt. A Donation Page is linked in the navigation.

The site also states its position that photographing LEGO and GFLUG displays in public settings is protected under the First Amendment.
