Where to Find Graduate Data for JRCNMT-Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Programs
Updated
JRCNMT publishes graduate outcome data for every accredited nuclear medicine technology program on its website, jrcnmt.org, under the "Graduate Data" section listed in its "Resources For" menu. The published data covers graduation rate, board exam pass rate, and job placement information for 2018–2020 graduates of each JRCNMT-accredited program. This is the page to use if you want to compare programs on outcomes rather than just confirm that a program is accredited.
What the Graduate Data Covers
According to JRCNMT, the graduate data reports three measures for each accredited program:
| Measure | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Graduation rate | How many students who entered the program completed it |
| Board exam pass rate | How graduates performed on the certification exam |
| Job placement | Whether graduates found work in the field |
The figures are reported for the 2018–2020 graduate cohorts, so treat them as a historical snapshot rather than a live dashboard. A program's current outcomes may differ from what this window shows.
How to Use the Data to Compare Programs
- Confirm accreditation first. Use the "Students & The Public" resources to check that a program is accredited before you weigh its outcomes. Accreditation means the program completed JRCNMT's multi-step review — a self-evaluation, an assessment of that report, and an on-site inspection by peer specialists from the profession — and meets or exceeds nationally accepted standards.
- Pull the graduate data for each program on your shortlist. Compare the same three measures across programs rather than mixing one program's placement rate against another's exam pass rate.
- Read the numbers in context. A small cohort can make a single graduate's outcome swing a percentage sharply. If a program's graduating class is tiny, ask the program directly how it calculates its rates.
- Ask programs about the gap between 2018–2020 and now. The published data is a fixed window; current faculty, clinical placements, and exam preparation may have changed since.
What the Data Does Not Tell You
The graduate data is an outcome summary, not a full program review. It does not cover curriculum content, clinical site availability, tuition, admission requirements, or pass rates outside the 2018–2020 window. For accreditation status and any actions taken by the JRCNMT Board of Directors, check the Accreditation Reports section; for standards and policies, the Program Faculty resources are the reference point.
If your goal is simply to verify that a school is legitimate, accreditation status alone answers that question. If your goal is to choose between accredited programs, the graduate data is the right starting comparison — then follow up with each program for current figures and details the published data leaves out.
