Where to Find Key Information on the KAUST Website

The KAUST website (kaust.edu.sa) organizes its most useful information into four main sections: Study, Research, Innovation, and Life at KAUST. Admissions details sit under Study, research platforms and core labs under Research, commercialization and partnerships under Innovation, and campus life plus latest news on the homepage and Life at KAUST section. Use the guide below to go straight to the entry point you need.

Study: degree programs and admissions

The Study section is the starting point for prospective students. It describes KAUST as an international graduate-level science and technology research university where students access state-of-the-art labs and faculty.

From there you can reach:

• Admissions — the application entry point
• Student Central — student services
• Ph.D. program and Master's program — the two degree levels listed
• Faculty directory and Academic offices

The site also lists its degree programs by division, including:

If your question is "what can I study and how do I apply," start at Study, then follow Admissions.

Research: platforms, centers, and funding

The Research section states KAUST's commitment to science education and goal-oriented research addressing challenges for the Kingdom and the world. It links to:

• Research Platforms
• Centers of Excellence
• Research Funding and Services
• Core Labs and Research Infrastructure

This is the right entry point if you want to understand lab capabilities, find a research center, or look into funding and services rather than degree programs.

Innovation: commercialization and partnerships

The Innovation section covers how KAUST moves research toward commercial use through the National Transformation Institute (NTI). It links to:

• National Projects
• Partnerships
• Commercialization and Consultancy
• Innovation Ecosystem and Innovation Hubs

Use this section if you are looking for industry collaboration, consultancy, or startup-related opportunities rather than academic study.

Life at KAUST, news, and impact

The homepage and Life at KAUST section cover campus life and current activity. The homepage also surfaces:

• Latest News — for example, coverage of the Saudi HPC/AI Conference, research honors, and spinout developments
• KAUST Impact Report 2025 — a report on economic and societal impact for Saudi Arabia
• Key Stats — including #1 university in the Arab world, #1 supercomputer in the Middle East, #1 in the Arab world for highly cited researchers, and $1+ billion raised by KAUST startups (latest update November 2025)

Quick routing table

One practical note: the site's navigation labels (Study, Research, Innovation, Life at KAUST) are consistent across pages, so if a direct link fails, returning to the homepage and using these top-level sections will get you back on track.
