Where to Find SIGMA's Images, Videos, and Branded Clothing

Updated

SIGMA (Moray's Astronomy Club) shares its visual content in three main places: member astrophotography appears in the "Images of the Moment" section and on the club's Flickr pages, video content is hosted on the SIGMA YouTube Channel, and branded clothing is available for purchase by SIGMA members. All of these are reached from the club's website, sigma-astro.co.uk. The sections below explain what each one offers and who can access it.

Images: "Images of the Moment" and Flickr

The homepage features an "Images of the Moment" section, which highlights astrophotography from club members. The site notes that more images from club members can be seen on the club's Flickr pages, so Flickr is the place to go for a fuller gallery rather than just the current highlights.

  • Images of the Moment — a rotating selection of member images shown on the club site.
  • Flickr — the larger collection of member photography, linked from the site.

If you want to see what SIGMA members actually observe and photograph from Moray, Flickr is the more complete source; "Images of the Moment" is the curated snapshot.

Videos: SIGMA YouTube Channel

The club maintains a SIGMA YouTube Channel, linked from the website. This is where video content from the club is published. The site also lists YouTube among the channels you can follow to keep up to date with SIGMA's latest news, alongside X (Twitter) and Facebook.

Branded Clothing

SIGMA members can purchase branded clothing. The homepage states this directly: "SIGMA members can now purchase branded clothing." Note the condition — this is a member benefit, not a general public store. If you are not yet a member, you would need to join first; the site directs membership enquiries to the Membership Secretary at [email protected] or to the Membership Information page.

A Practical Note on Following the Club

Because images, videos, and news are spread across several platforms, the simplest approach is to start at sigma-astro.co.uk and follow the links to Flickr, YouTube, X, and Facebook from there. That way you reach the current gallery and channel rather than relying on a saved link that may change. For anything membership-related — including branded clothing — contact [email protected].
