Where to Find TagPro News, Tutorials, and Community Resources
Updated
TagPro's own site, tagpro.koalabeast.com, is the main hub for news, tutorials, and community links. The home page shows a News section with release notes and development updates, a Tutorials area with short how-to videos and strategy talks, and footer links to the Subreddit, Discord, and Wiki. You can also reach player stats, groups, and competitive replays from the site's navigation menu. Everything below is available without an account, except where noted.
News and Development Updates
The News section on the home page lists recent posts with timestamps. Two recurring types of posts appear there:
- Release notes — for example, a post dated October 14, 2026 covering flair rarity, ranked skill adjustments, and a new user experience. The site also shows a short in-page summary of the latest release, with a link to the full detailed release notes and a list of past release notes.
- TagPro Future Group updates — numbered development updates (the site shows Update #39, covering UX cleanup, mars ball fixes, preset group links, lagout issues, and a plan for TagPro development).
To find older posts, use the "See all past release notes" link in the release summary, or the "View the full release notes" link. The release summary is also reachable under Feedback > View recent changes.
Live status on the same page
The home page header shows current activity, such as "30 players in 4 games" and "48 total users online." This is useful for checking whether people are playing before you join.
Tutorials and Strategy Videos
The Tutorials area sits below the News section and includes:
- "How to Play TagPro in 4 Minutes"
- "How to Play TagPro in 30 seconds"
- "How to Play TagPro in 5 seconds"
- TAG Talks strategy videos: "Contain 101," "Grabbing Without Grabbing," and "Offending Defenders (OD)"
The page also has a Livestreams slot. When no one is streaming, it says "There aren't any TagPro streams right now," so check back later if you want live gameplay.
For basic controls, the How to Play page (linked from the home page) covers movement, scoreboard, all chat and team chat, activating the Rolling Bomb, and changing keyboard controls. The key remapping dialog lets you set a primary and secondary binding for each action, and both can be used while playing. The same page links to a "Sound Not Working?" help item.
Community Links
The footer of the site links directly to the community:
| Resource | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Subreddit | Footer link "Community Subreddit" |
| Discord | Footer link "Discord" |
| Wiki | Footer link "Wiki" |
| Twitter, TikTok, YouTube | Footer "Social Media" links |
The footer also links to TagPro Support, the Code of Conduct, and the Privacy Policy.
Player Stats, Groups, and Competitive Replays
The top navigation includes:
- Stats — player statistics
- Groups — group pages, including a Leaders list and preset group links mentioned in the development update
- Maps and Player Search — look up maps and players
- Competitive Replays — recorded competitive matches
- Feedback — release notes and recent changes
Some of these areas, such as settings and group features, involve a Log In / Sign Up option in the header. Playing itself does not require a login: the home page states "Play Now — No login required."
A Practical Way to Use the Site
- Open tagpro.koalabeast.com and check the player count in the header.
- Watch "How to Play TagPro in 30 seconds" if you are new, then read the How to Play page for controls.
- Skim the latest News post for changes that affect gameplay, such as skill score adjustments.
- Join the Discord or Subreddit from the footer for community discussion and pickup games.
- Use Competitive Replays and TAG Talks to study strategy once you know the basics.
One caveat: the site lists servers in North America, Europe, and Australia, so pick a server region close to you if latency matters. The page does not publish a server-selection walkthrough, so treat in-game settings as the place to look.
