Which Browsers Support RoValra, How It Updates, and How to Disable Features

Updated

RoValra is a Chrome extension, so it runs on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers that can install from the Chrome Web Store. Firefox is not supported, and any Firefox add-on claiming to be RoValra is an unofficial community port. If you installed it from the Chrome Web Store, it updates automatically unless you turn updates off, and every feature can be disabled individually in the extension's settings.

Browser support

Browser Supported? Notes
Chrome Yes Installed from the Chrome Web Store
Chromium-based browsers (e.g. Edge, Brave) Yes, via the Chrome Web Store Same install path as Chrome
Firefox No The site states Firefox support "might be coming at some point"

The key caveat: the official FAQ says any extension on the Firefox Store claiming to be RoValra is not official — those are community-made ports. If you want the maintained version, install the Chrome Web Store listing.

How updates work

  • Updates are automatic only if you installed from the Chrome Web Store.
  • Automatic updates continue unless you specifically disable them.
  • If you installed the extension some other way, you don't get that automatic update path.

So the practical rule: install from the Chrome Web Store, leave auto-update on, and you'll receive the "many new features and bug fixes" the developer says are always coming.

Disabling features you don't want

Every feature can be turned off in the extension's settings. The site lists 90+ unique features, and since they're individually toggleable, you can keep the ones you use and switch off the rest without uninstalling.

If a feature you want doesn't exist yet, feature requests and feedback go through the official Discord server (the site points to a suggestions channel there).

Other things worth knowing before you install

  • Cost: The site says every non-cosmetic feature is free and will stay free. Cosmetic items are the only thing separated out from that promise.
  • Safety and bans: The FAQ states the extension follows Roblox's Terms of Service, that Roblox is aware it exists, and that you won't be banned for using it — while noting the extension is not endorsed by Roblox. It also invites you to read the source code yourself, since the project is 100% open source.
  • Compatibility with other extensions: RoValra officially supports running alongside RoPro, BetterBlox v1, RoSeal, and RoQoL, so you don't have to choose between them.
  • Maintenance: Valra is the only maintainer, with contributions from others on GitHub.

Quick decision guide

  • On Chrome or a Chromium browser and want the official build: install from the Chrome Web Store and leave auto-update enabled.
  • On Firefox: there is no official version — wait for a possible future release rather than trusting a port.
  • Want only part of the feature set: install anyway and disable the rest in settings.
  • Want a new feature or found a bug: raise it in the official Discord server.
