Evo France 2026 features five main tournament titles: Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Guilty Gear Strive, and Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. The event runs Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Palais des Expositions – Nice Acropolis.

Rules shared across most titles
Several conventions apply broadly across the lineup, though each game's rule page is the final authority:
- Double elimination for Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Guilty Gear Strive, and Avatar Legends.
- Bring Your Own Controller — players supply their own controller on PlayStation 5.
- Default settings, with game-specific exceptions.
- Winner keeps the same character; the loser may switch (stated for Street Fighter 6, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Guilty Gear Strive, and Avatar Legends).
- Random stage select, with players allowed to agree on a stage in some titles.
Tekken 8 is the exception on format: it uses 3/5 rounds per game rather than 2/3, and Tekken World Tour rules supersede the event rules if any conflict arises.
What to check before you enter or watch
If you plan to compete, confirm the details that differ by game rather than assuming the shared rules apply everywhere:
- Round and set counts — Tekken 8 uses 3/5 rounds per game; the other listed titles use 2/3 rounds per game.
- Top 8 format — Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 explicitly extend to 3/5 games for Top 8 finals; Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising and Guilty Gear Strive list 3/5 games per set across the whole tournament.
- Banned content — cosmetic and character bans vary: Lunalu and specific colors/skins in Granblue, Ultimate Edition colors in Guilty Gear Strive, Dynamic control type and the Training Room stage in Street Fighter 6.
- Version notes — Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is listed as the PlayStation 4 version, while Guilty Gear Strive is listed as the PlayStation 5 version.
The event page also lists an event map, FAQs, a schedule, and seven total streams, which are the places to check for bracket information and broadcast coverage once available.
