Which Mario Kart games and records does Max VR List cover?

Updated

Max VR List (maxvrlist.com) is the official Mario Kart Max VR List, tracking known maximum VR and BR achievements across Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, plus total-rating rankings, speedrun rankings, and other Mario Kart max stats. If you want to know where a specific game's max rating or leaderboard lives, the site organizes everything by game and record type.

Games covered

Game What's listed
Mario Kart 7 (MK7) VR records, 4-value and simultaneous national lists, stats
Mario Kart 8 (MK8) VR, BR, CR, simultaneous stats
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (MK8DX) VR, BR, CR, simultaneous stats
Miscellaneous MKDS wins, Tencent MK8DX VR, max count rankings, speedrun rankings, rating leaderboards

Record types explained

VR and BR

VR (Versus Rating) and BR (Battle Rating) are the core ratings the site tracks per game. MK8 and MK8DX also list CR alongside VR and BR.

Simultaneous and national lists

"Simultaneous" lists cover records achieved at the same time, and MK7 additionally has 4-value and national lists. These sit alongside the standard per-game stats.

All Max Ratings and AMR

The site keeps an "All Max Ratings" section plus an AMR (All Max Ratings) archive split into Pre-MK8DX and current stats.

Speedrun and rating leaderboards

Beyond max VR/BR, Max VR List hosts speedrun rankings and rating leaderboards, so competitive players can compare both rating peaks and run times.

Practical notes

  • The site is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Japanese.
  • If your max isn't listed, its date is wrong, or you want a nickname change, the site directs you to contact staff via Twitter or Discord.
  • Content is dated © 2020–2026, and Mario Kart is a Nintendo trademark.

In short: three main games (MK7, MK8, MK8DX) with VR/BR/CR data, simultaneous and national lists, plus miscellaneous max stats, speedrun rankings, and rating leaderboards — all reachable from the site's game-based navigation.
