EnglishWhich sports does PlayHQ support?
Updated
PlayHQ’s site explicitly names AFL, basketball, and cricket as sports it supports, and describes its tools as covering “AFL, basketball, cricket, and more.” That “and more” means the list is not exhaustive, so the practical answer is: AFL, basketball, and cricket are confirmed; other sports may be available, but you should verify your specific sport before committing a league to the platform.
Confirmed sports and what they imply
| Sport | Confirmed on PlayHQ’s site | What it suggests for organizers |
|---|---|---|
| AFL | Yes | The platform is positioned for Australian rules football leagues, clubs, and players. |
| Basketball | Yes | Basketball competitions can use PlayHQ for registration and scheduling. |
| Cricket | Yes | Cricket leagues are also named as a supported use case. |
The site frames PlayHQ around league management, team registration, and scheduling for organizers, clubs, and players. Those functions are described as applying across the named sports rather than being limited to one.
Why “and more” matters
The phrase “and more” is the only signal that PlayHQ may support sports beyond the three named. It is not a list of additional sports, and it does not guarantee that any particular sport is supported. Treat it as an invitation to check rather than as confirmation.
For example, if you run a netball or soccer league, the site’s wording does not confirm support. You would need to verify whether your sport is covered before relying on PlayHQ for registration or scheduling.
How to check whether your sport fits
- Start with the named sports. If your league is AFL, basketball, or cricket, the site directly supports your use case.
- Look for your sport’s specific setup. The site describes tools for organizers, clubs, and players; check whether your sport appears in the registration or scheduling context rather than assuming it does.
- Confirm before committing. Because “and more” is open-ended, verify your sport with PlayHQ directly or through its documentation before moving a league onto the platform.
What this means for your decision
If your league is in AFL, basketball, or cricket, PlayHQ’s stated scope matches your needs and the platform is worth evaluating for registration and scheduling. If your sport is not named, the site does not give you a clear yes — so the safe path is to confirm support first, then decide whether PlayHQ fits your league’s registration and scheduling workflow.
