Who Is rebane2001 and What Tools Has He Built?

Updated

rebane2001 is the developer behind rebane2001.com, a personal site that hosts a collection of small, single-purpose web tools and creative projects. If you're looking for a quick utility — generating Minecraft map art, coloring Discord text, or compressing a webm — the site is worth checking. The main caveat: the site itself notes that many newer projects now live at lyra.horse, so that's where you should look for recent work.

What's on rebane2001.com

The homepage presents a simple list of projects rather than a portfolio with descriptions, so here's what each one does based on the site's own labels:

Project What it does
MapartCraft A Minecraft survival map art generator
Letters A shared page where each person can only add a letter once
Discord Colored Text Generator Generates colored ANSI text for Discord
Discord Pin Compressor Compresses pins into a message
WeirdM A web app for creating and resizing webm files
AE Scripts and Plugins Scripts and plugins released for Adobe After Effects
HP2GUI and other Harry Potter II PC stuff Various assets, including the site's logo in different formats and sizes

Which tool fits your need

  • Minecraft builders making map art in survival mode → MapartCraft
  • Discord users who want colored text in messages → Discord Colored Text Generator
  • Discord server managers hitting pin limits → Discord Pin Compressor
  • Anyone working with webm video who needs to create or resize files → WeirdM
  • After Effects users looking for released scripts and plugins → the AE Scripts and Plugins page
  • Harry Potter II PC players or modders → HP2GUI and related assets

Where to find newer work

The site explicitly states that a lot of newer projects are hosted on lyra.horse, and directs visitors there. If the project you're after isn't listed on rebane2001.com, check lyra.horse before assuming it doesn't exist.

How to get in touch

The site lists three contact channels:

  • Email
  • Twitter
  • Bluesky

All three are linked directly from the homepage.
