Highest FIDE rating 2317

Why These Credentials Matter

The two titles cover different things. FIDE Master is a playing title awarded for reaching a defined rating and performance standard, so it signals competitive strength. FIDE Trainer is a coaching qualification, meaning the academy's lead instructor has been assessed on teaching ability, not just results at the board.

The rating of 2317 sits well above the level of most club and school coaches, and the Asian and Commonwealth appearances show sustained play at representative level rather than a single peak.

The FIDE appointment is the most distinctive item. Being selected by the World Chess Federation to prepare national Olympiad teams — here South Sudan and Djibouti for the 2022 Olympiad in Chennai — indicates experience working with players at a national-team level, not only beginners.

What This Means for Choosing a Class

  • For beginners: the academy runs dedicated beginner sessions, so the senior trainer's title is a quality signal for the programme rather than a requirement that you train with him directly.
  • For advanced or tournament players: personal training with Vedant Goswami is offered as a separate option, which is where the FIDE Trainer and FIDE Master credentials matter most.
  • For players outside India: personal training slots are noted as limited in the US Pacific (PST) time zone, so scheduling is a real constraint to check before committing.

How to Confirm Availability

Personal training with Vedant Goswami is described as having limited slots. The academy asks interested players to call or WhatsApp +91-988.029.7796 to customise training, and also invites visitors to call or visit during normal business hours. If you want to train specifically with the chief trainer rather than join a general batch, contact first and confirm current availability and timing before planning around it.
