Which Games Are Currently Ready for Testing in ScummVM?

As of the latest announcement on scummvm.org (dated Sep 22, 2026), the games open for public testing are Eagle Eye Mysteries and Eagle Eye Mysteries in London. This testing round covers the DOS releases of both titles in English and Spanish, plus the Macintosh release of the first game and the DOS release of the London sequel. The Macintosh version of Eagle Eye Mysteries in London is still under development and is not part of this round.

What's in this testing round

Game Supported versions in this test Not included
Eagle Eye Mysteries DOS (English, Spanish), Macintosh —
Eagle Eye Mysteries in London DOS Macintosh (still in development)

Both titles were published by EA*Kids and developed by Stormfront Studios. They're deduction games: you play as teenage twin detectives Jake or Jennifer Eagle, visit locations, question suspects, and log clues in TRAVIS (Text Retrieval And Video Input System). Cases are self-contained, get harder as you progress, and can be replayed with different outcomes. In the London sequel, the twins investigate a thief called Macavity.

How to join the test

  1. Get a recent daily development build of ScummVM. Testing builds are what the team asks for here, not a stable release.
  2. Add your game directory to ScummVM. You need the original game data files — ScummVM replaces the game's executables, it doesn't ship the game content.
  3. Play through the games and watch for problems.
  4. Report issues on the project's issue tracker, following the bug submission guidelines. Screenshots and saved games that demonstrate a problem are especially useful.

What to keep in mind

  • The announcement is a point-in-time notice; the set of games under testing changes as development progresses, so check scummvm.org for the current round before you start.
  • If you only have the Macintosh release of Eagle Eye Mysteries in London, it isn't testable yet — that version is still being worked on.
  • The page lists PayPal among its payment platforms, but nothing in the announcement indicates the test builds or participation carry a cost.
