How does VisualPharm's sprint-based delivery model work?
Updated
VisualPharm delivers custom 2D and 3D animation, illustrations, and icons in fixed sprints of one or two weeks rather than open-ended project timelines. A 1-week sprint provides 35 hours of creative work and covers 2D illustrations or animations; a 2-week sprint provides 70 hours and adds 3D. The next sprint can start immediately after the previous one ends, so work continues without a gap if you choose to keep going.
What a sprint includes
A sprint is a focused design cycle in which VisualPharm's in-house team works exclusively on your project. The team is salaried and in-house, not freelancers, which the studio presents as the reason it can stay fully focused during each sprint.
| Sprint length | Creative hours | Coverage | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 week | 35 hours | 2D illustrations, icons, animations (no 3D) | $4,500 |
| 2 weeks | 70 hours | 2D/3D illustrations or animations | $8,500 |
| Ongoing | Priced by scope | Embedded creative team, priority queue access, monthly strategy calls | Custom pricing |
The 2-week sprint is described as the same quality with more volume — the extra week adds 3D capability alongside the 2D work.
How the cycle runs
- Pick a sprint length. One week if you need 2D illustrations, icons, or animations; two weeks if the work includes 3D or needs more volume.
- Work happens inside the sprint window. The team dedicates the stated hours (35 or 70) to your project only.
- Feedback is continuous. You receive daily updates and can send feedback at any time during the sprint, not just at a review gate.
- Files are handed over at the end. You get final files in the formats you need — SVG, PNG, GIF, MP4, or Lottie — ready to use.
- Decide on the next sprint. If you want to continue, the next sprint can start right after the current one finishes.
What you get at handover
The deliverable formats — SVG, PNG, GIF, MP4, and Lottie — cover vector icons and illustrations, raster images, animated GIFs, video, and lightweight app/web animations. Because the files arrive ready to use, the sprint output can go straight into a website, app, or marketing asset without a separate conversion step.
Ongoing sprints for an embedded team
If you need continuous capacity rather than a single block, VisualPharm offers ongoing sprints priced by scope. This tier adds priority queue access and monthly strategy calls on top of the embedded creative team arrangement. Pricing for this option is custom, so it depends on the scope you define rather than the fixed $4,500 / $8,500 sprint rates.
Who this model suits
The sprint structure fits teams that want a defined amount of creative output on a predictable schedule — for example, a product team that needs a batch of icons and an explainer animation before a release, or a marketing team that wants a steady stream of illustrations across a quarter. Because each sprint has a fixed hour count and price, you can plan spend per cycle instead of negotiating a single large project fee.
