How to Create a 3D Text GIF Sticker on 3dtext2gif
Updated
3dtext2gif is a browser-based generator that turns short text into an animated 3D text GIF sticker. You type your text, pick a font and motion preset, adjust the color and depth controls, choose a resolution, and click Create GIF Sticker to render the file. It suits quick sticker-style graphics for chat apps and social posts; it is not a full 3D modeling or video editing tool.
What you can control
The interface exposes the following inputs, based on the tool's own control set:
| Group | Controls |
|---|---|
| Text | Text field, font selector, glyph set (EN, CN, JP, KR, TH) |
| Motion | Motion preset (e.g. "Motion Craze"), modulate vertical/horizontal, stretch horizontal/vertical, craze horizontal/vertical/depth/direct |
| Color | Text color, line color |
| Shape | Zoom depth, line height |
| Camera | Camera horizontal position, camera vertical position |
| Lighting | Direct light, direct light distance, ambient light |
| Material | Metalness, roughness |
| Output | Resolution: Low [180x180], Medium [240x240], High [300x300] |
Step-by-step
- Enter your text. Type the characters you want in the text field. Keep it short — sticker GIFs read best with a few words, and each glyph set carries its own file weight (the listed glyph sets range from about 0.03 MB up to 15.4 MB, so longer or CJK text produces heavier assets).
- Pick a font and glyph set. Choose the font, then select the glyph set that matches your language (EN, CN, JP, KR, TH). The glyph list shows a size estimate per set, which is a useful hint for how heavy the result will be.
- Choose a motion preset. Select a motion style such as "Motion Craze" to set the base animation, then fine-tune with the modulate, stretch, and craze sliders if you want a different feel.
- Set colors. Use the text color and line color pickers. The defaults shown are text color
FCE5FEand line color000000. - Adjust depth and shape. Use zoom depth and line height to control how thick and how extruded the 3D text looks.
- Position the camera. Camera horizontal and vertical position shift the viewing angle of the text.
- Tune lighting and material. Direct light, direct light distance, and ambient light control the light setup; metalness and roughness control the surface finish.
- Pick a resolution. Low (180x180), Medium (240x240), or High (300x300). Higher resolution means a larger, sharper GIF.
- Click "Create GIF Sticker." The tool renders the animated GIF from your settings. Save the resulting file and use it wherever GIF stickers are supported.
Practical notes
- Start from a preset, then adjust. Changing one slider at a time makes it easier to see what each control does, since motion, lighting, and material settings interact visually.
- Watch the glyph set size. If you are targeting a platform with sticker size limits, the per-set MB figures in the glyph list are your best early signal — CJK sets are noticeably heavier than Latin ones.
- Resolution vs. file size. Moving from Low to High increases the pixel dimensions; if the exported GIF feels too large for your use, drop back a resolution step before cutting other settings.
- The tool is credited to FUZZYW, and the page links to a gallery where you can see finished examples before you start.
If your goal is a single animated 3D text sticker for messaging or a post, this workflow covers it end to end. If you need layered scenes, multiple objects, or video export, this tool is not built for that.
