How to Import a Coolors Color Scheme into Noise & Gradient
Updated
Paste your Coolors generator URL into the input field on Noise & Gradient, and the tool loads that palette into the gradient generator. The site's own prompt confirms this: "Pssst. Got a color scheme from coolors? Paste the generator URL in here." This works when you have a Coolors palette URL (the generator page link, not a screenshot or an exported file), and it saves you from re-entering each color by hand.
Step by step
- Build or open your palette on Coolors. Go to the Coolors generator and either create a new scheme or open an existing one you've saved.
- Copy the generator URL. Use the address bar link for that palette view. This is the URL the Noise & Gradient field expects.
- Paste it into the Noise & Gradient input field. The site's hint text sits right at that field, so you can confirm you're in the right place.
- Let the palette load. The colors from your Coolors scheme populate the gradient generator.
- Adjust as needed. After import you can still add a color, remove a color, and tune the Chaos Factor and Grain Factor.
- Generate and download. Press the space bar to generate a new gradient texture, then use the download link. The downloaded image is 1000x1000px.
What carries over and what doesn't
| Item | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Coolors palette colors | Loaded into the gradient generator |
| Adding/removing colors afterward | Still available |
| Chaos Factor / Grain Factor | Still adjustable after import |
| Downloaded image size | 1000x1000px |
| Higher resolution | Requires the Pro Version |
Common snags
- Wrong link type. The field wants the Coolors generator URL. A saved image, a PDF export, or a share link that isn't the generator page may not load the palette.
- Expecting a fixed output. Importing sets your colors, but the gradient texture itself still varies. Space bar generates a new texture, so the same palette can produce different results.
- Wanting high-res output. The standard download is 1000x1000px. If you need more, that's the Pro Version path rather than something the import step changes.
If your goal is just to skip manual color entry, the paste-the-URL route is the fastest option. If you need a specific resolution or a locked-in texture, plan around the 1000x1000px download and the Pro Version instead.
