What is Easy App Screens and what does it do?

Updated

Easy App Screens is a browser-based tool that turns one screenshot design into every App Store and Google Play asset your listing needs — all required sizes, both device classes, and every language you ship. You drop in your captures, pick a preset, and write your copy once; it renders the full set, checks each file against the sizes, formats and limits Apple and Google publish, and hands you a ZIP already foldered for upload. It is aimed at indie developers who ship the app and then have to ship the listing, and it is free to start with no card required.

The problem it targets

Most people who ever see your product page never read the description — they look at the pictures. On a search result, that may be all they see before scrolling. Apple also asks you to localise screenshots, not just the words, so the asset count multiplies fast.

The site's own arithmetic for one release: five screens × two device classes × five languages = 50 assets, every release. Capturing them takes about half an hour; laying them out by hand takes four to six hours. That cost returns on the next release in the same order, with the same chance of one file being the wrong size — which App Store Connect only catches after you have spent the afternoon.

How the workflow runs

The site describes three steps, and only the middle one is yours:

  1. Drop in your captures — the raw screenshots from your app.
  2. Pick a preset and write the copy once — move the device, change the type, swap the background; the whole set follows. Copy stays where you wrote it, in the language you wrote it in.
  3. Export — the tool renders every size and language, verifies each file against store requirements, and packages a ZIP already foldered for upload.

The next release becomes a capture swap rather than a redesign.

What you get out

Output Detail
Sizes 15 screenshot sizes across App Store and Google Play
Device classes Two
Languages Every language you ship
Validation Each file checked against the sizes, formats and limits Apple and Google publish (site states verified 2026-09-12)
Packaging ZIP, already foldered for upload

Pricing and what "free" covers

Free to start, no card, no trial clock. You can build the whole set for free and export one real file — no watermark, full resolution — before deciding anything. If you decide to buy, the site states $149 once, not a subscription. The pricing page also links to several comparable tools (AppScreens Pro, Screenshots Pro Standard, AppLaunchpad Pro, Previewed Pro) if you want to compare before committing.

Who it fits

  • Indie developers who own both the app and its store listing, and release often enough that hand-laying screenshots is a recurring tax.
  • Teams without a designer — the site explicitly claims no design skills and no rule-reading required.
  • Multi-language listings — the value scales with how many languages you ship, since localisation is where manual work multiplies.

It fits less well if you only ever publish a single screenshot in one language, or if you want full pixel-level control over every artboard rather than a preset-driven set.

Before you rely on it

The editor walk-through needs JavaScript, and the size checks it performs are listed on the site's sizes page — worth reading if you have unusual format requirements. Treat the "verified" dates as the site's own claims about store rules at that time; store requirements change, so re-check anything critical against Apple's and Google's current published specs before a major release.
