What is Hlido and what does the company do?

Updated

Hlido is a technology consulting and implementation practice based in Prague. It works with businesses from the first idea through to a system running in production, and stays involved after go-live. Its services cover strategy and advisory, design and development, delivery, and post-production support, with AI applied only where it earns its place. Cybersecurity is delivered together with channel partner IrisInfosec. If you need a partner to help decide what to build, build it, and keep it running, Hlido's model is designed for that end-to-end role.

The four stages of an engagement

Hlido describes its work as a sequence that can start at the beginning or plug into an existing project.

1. Ideation and strategy

A short call on the problem, followed by a written assessment covering what to build, buy or leave alone, and what it costs to run. This is the stage to bring in if you need a first CTO-level view, a technology roadmap, or help with architecture and build-versus-buy decisions.

2. Design and development

Architecture, build and integration with the systems you already run. Milestones are set out in writing, so progress is checkable rather than assumed.

3. Delivery

Acceptance happens against an agreed list of what the system must do before go-live. Your team is trained and the hand-over is something you can maintain.

4. Post-production support

Monitoring, fixes and improvements on a cadence you choose, plus checks when a vendor ships a change so regressions are caught before customers find them. A named point of contact is part of the offer.

What the advisory work covers

The consulting side is aimed at leadership, procurement and compliance teams. Stated areas include:

  • Technology strategy and roadmap — from a first CTO-level view down to a specific project.
  • Architecture, build-versus-buy and vendor selection — including what it costs to build and what it costs to run.
  • AI adoption — where it pays back in your operation, and where it does not.
  • Governance and EU AI Act readiness — delivered as a gap list with owners and dates.

The EU AI Act readiness work is relevant if your organisation uses or ships AI features and needs a structured view of gaps rather than a general policy statement.

What to check before engaging

The site does not publish pricing, so scope and cost need to come from the written quote that Hlido says it provides for each engagement. Ask for that assessment early — it is the document that defines what will be built, what it costs to run, and how acceptance will be judged. If cybersecurity is part of your requirement, confirm how the IrisInfosec partnership is structured in your contract. And if you are coming with an existing system rather than a new idea, ask specifically what post-production support would cover for code Hlido did not write.
