What Is thirdhosting.com and Is It Still Operating?

thirdhosting.com is the former website of Third Generation Internet Services, a hosting provider that has permanently ceased operations. According to the Company Closure Notice on the site, all services, products, and business activities were discontinued effective December 31, 2025. The notice also states that the company served its community for 18 years and thanks customers for their support over that period.

Current Status

The site no longer functions as an active hosting provider. Any pages still reachable on the domain should be treated as a closure notice rather than a live service offering.

What Former Customers Should Know

The closure notice includes a limited window for customers who still need to recover data or move domains:

• Final domain transfers and access to remaining account files must be requested by contacting [email protected].
• The deadline for these requests is July 31, 2026.
• After that date, all support channels will be permanently closed.

If you held a domain or account with ThirdHosting, the practical implication is that you need to act before July 31, 2026 to retrieve anything still accessible. Once support closes, there is no stated channel for recovering files or completing transfers.

Why the Site Still Appears Online

A closure notice remaining on a domain does not mean the business is operating. In this case, the notice explicitly states that operations ended December 31, 2025, and that discontinuation is permanent. The copyright line reads © 2026, consistent with a notice maintained after the shutdown date.

Key Takeaways

• thirdhosting.com is not an active hosting service — it is the closure notice for Third Generation Internet Services.
• Operations ended December 31, 2025, after 18 years.
• Former customers needing domain transfers or account files must contact [email protected] by July 31, 2026.
• After that deadline, all support channels close permanently.
