What Kind of Events Does Premier Rides Cater To?

Updated

Premier Rides hires out fairground and amusement rides for corporate events and private parties only. It is not a public fairground operator: the company states it does not attend events where it is expected to pay a pitch fee and charge the public for rides. If your event needs a traditional fairground that sells ride tickets to the general public, Premier Rides is not the right supplier.

Who Premier Rides Works With

According to its website, Premier Rides has supplied rides to the corporate world since 1994 and has worked for most large companies, naming Amazon and Virgin as examples. It describes over 30 years of experience working at a wide range of venues, including knowledge of access difficulties and ground conditions at some sites that current venue managers may not be aware of.

The company also says it serves private parties alongside corporate events. One client has reportedly booked it every year for their annual event since 1994, with talks ongoing for 2025.

Events It Does Not Cover

The exclusion is explicit on the site:

  • No public fairgrounds. Premier Rides says you will not see it on village greens taking money.
  • No pitch-fee arrangements. It does not attend events where the organiser wants the supplier to pay a pitch fee and then charge the public for rides.
  • Public ticketed funfairs are directed elsewhere — the site says that requires a fairground company, not Premier Rides.

Ride Options by Audience

The site groups its hire fleet into three categories, which helps match rides to the type of event:

Category Examples given Notes
Adult Rides Sky Diver, Extreme Described as white-knuckle rides, not suitable for children
Family Rides Big wheels, dodgems, waltzers Young children can ride with parents
Children's Rides Cup & Saucer, Toyset, Chair O Planes, mini carousel, swingboats The company's stated favourite selection

Dodgems are described as the most popular ride, followed by big wheels, waltzers, simulators and the carousel.

Practical Considerations for Corporate Bookers

  • Indoor and tight-access venues. The mini carousel is noted as being assembled piece by piece, which allows it to go inside venues with tight access. This matters for corporate venues such as hotels or exhibition halls where a standard fairground ride would not fit.
  • Pricing signals. The site lists dodgems starting at £2,600 + VAT for the day, with long hours, weekends and location affecting the price. Children's rides start at £595 + VAT, with the mini carousel at £995. These are starting figures, not fixed quotes.
  • Booking directly. The site states you can come to us direct for better prices, and directs enquiries to a quote form.
  • Reliability warning. Premier Rides claims that every year at least 30 events are let down by rides that fail to arrive, and advises against choosing the cheapest option or paying upfront.

Is Premier Rides Right for Your Event?

Choose Premier Rides if you are organising a corporate event, company fun day, team-building day or private party and want fairground rides delivered to your venue without a public ticketing model.

Look elsewhere if you are running a public fair, charity funfair or community event where rides are paid for individually by attendees, or if the arrangement requires the ride supplier to pay a pitch fee.
