Which eBay marketplaces and search methods does BuyMap support?
Updated
BuyMap supports eight eBay marketplaces — United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada, Italy, France, and Spain — and prices listings to your location. You can search by product name, or by scanning a barcode or pasting a UPC, ISBN, EAN, or eBay product ID.
eBay marketplaces covered
BuyMap works across eight eBay sites:
Marketplace
---
United States
United Kingdom
Germany
Australia
Canada
Italy
France
Spain
Each marketplace's listings are priced to your location, so the totals you see reflect shipping to where you are rather than the seller's local currency alone.
Search methods
You have two ways to find a product:
1. Identifier search
Scan a barcode, or paste one of the following:
- UPC — e.g.
0045496961282 - ISBN — e.g.
9783836557153 - EAN
- eBay product ID (EPID) — e.g.
241614635
This is the most precise route because it targets the exact product rather than a keyword match.
2. Product name search
Type a product name directly — for example, crash bandicoot. BuyMap then gathers every listing for that exact product in one place.
What happens after you search
Once results load, BuyMap:
- Adds shipping to your ZIP for a real total, so the cheapest item price isn't mistaken for the cheapest order.
- Shows a median price for each condition, so you can judge whether a listing is actually a deal.
- Filters out junk — bulk lots, broken units, and wrong items are hidden before you see them.
- Offers a toggle to hide most disc-only listings (bare disc, no case or manual), so you can focus on complete copies.
- Color-codes seller feedback in the table and lets you filter out low-rated sellers.
- Lets you read each seller's full description in place, without clicking through.
Filters apply the moment you click them — no page reload — and you can narrow by condition, seller rating, location, format, and how recently an item was listed, then sort by total price or newest first.
Practical notes
- Use an identifier when you know it. A UPC, ISBN, EAN, or EPID search avoids the noise that comes with keyword matching.
- Use a name when you don't. Product name search still gathers every matching listing for the exact product, but expect to lean on filters more.
- Check the total, not the sticker price. A listing at $179.00 with $65.00 shipping totals $244.00, while one at $215.00 with free shipping totals $215.00 — the higher list price can be the better buy.
- Watch a product if you're not ready to buy. BuyMap emails you when a listing appears at or under your target total, with shipping to your door included.
